Mr. Book just finished The Price Of Power: How Mitch McConnell Mastered The Senate, Changed America And Lost His Party, by Michael Tackett.
Mitch McConnell has used his skills for pure evil to become the most powerful Senate Majority Leader in history. This biography shows how that happened.
Among the strongest points of the book was the aftermath of Scalia’s death, the constant obstruction via the filibuster, McConnell’s constant hypocrisy over the years, how he has reshaped the judiciary, both through the Supreme Court and the appellate courts and campaign finance. The book also does a very good job with the Trump-McConnell relationship, covering both McConnell purporting to hate Trump, but was always a huge enabler for him.
I give this book an A.
