Mr. Book just finished House Of Bush, House Of Saud: The Secret Relationship Between The World’s Two Most Powerful Dynasties, by Craig Unger.
I have read six books by this author, which each one getting either an A or A+.
This is an excellent book on the connections between the Bush family (both George H.W. and George W.) and the Saudis. Their connections go back to the Reagan administration, and the critique of the Reagan era Middle-East foreign policy may have been the best part of the book.
After the Reagan era, most of the focus of the book is on George W. Bush—the worst president in US history prior to Trump—featuring the Muslim influence on getting him into office, then the events leading up and shortly after 9/11. The book was published in 2004, so there isn’t anything from his second term. (That will be the subject of the next book, also by Unger, that I’m about to review: Fall Of The House Of Bush
I give this book an A+. and inducted it into the Hall of Fame.
Goodreads requires grades on a 1-5 star system. In my personal conversion system, an A+ equates to 5 stars. (A or A+: 5 stars, B+: 4 stars, B: 3 stars, C: 2 stars, D or F: 1 star).
